As a family run cattery, Lucki Maine Coons is a small, in home Missouri Maine Coon cattery that breeds and shows Championship Maine Coon cats in TICA & CFA as well as Maine Coon Polydactyl cats in TICA. We started in early 2020 by researching the wonderful breed of Maine Coons. We fell in love with the beautiful gentle giants and decided to bring them into our family. After a lot of searching we brought our first Maine Coon into our home later in the year. We decided to bring our cats in from top breeders that keep health, genetics, pedigree & lineage, and breed standard at the forefront of their breeding programs. We have been lucky enough to become close friends with all of their breeders and have maintained this relationship.

Our first Maine Coon, CHA. Woolen Tails Happy of LuckiMC. Happy, known as Svetty to us was our very first Maine Coon. She had four healthy litters as a queen and retired after her last litter was born in October of 2022. Svetty is will be six in February of 2025 and resides here with us as a pet, she occasionally shows with TICA. She received her Champion Alter title in January of 2024 & is halfway to a Grand Champion Alter title. Svetty has always been one of our most outgoing, loving cats and I couldn’t think of a better cat to start off / be introduced into the breed with. She really embodies the spirit and is the true definition of a “gentle giant”.

Our cattery, Lucki Maine Coons is a family affair. we do everything with our kittens & cats. All of our cats are handled by us daily and live in our home as they are our personal pets as well as breeding cats. We do not keep any of our Maine Coon kittens or cats in cages, we also do not utilize outside kennels or buildings. Our Maine Coon kittens and cats are raised in our home. It is important to note while our cats do live in our home as our pets, for the health and safety of our cats, our intact males do live separately from our intact females. Our king has a designated room within our house which is a large bedroom that is full of cat trees, scratching posts, and window perches. The retired, spayed queens like to hangout with him (and maybe use him for his window hammocks…) He is still included in our daily life and is handled/played with daily but, is appropriately and responsibly separated from our intact queens. Our Maine Coon cats are also indoor only. Unless we are going out with the stroller, our cats stay indoors at all times. We do not believe that they are missing out by not being allowed outside. Unless potentially missing out on animal traps, vehicles, poisoning, various parasites, being stolen, contagious diseases such as Feline Leukemia or Feline “Aids”, wild animals/predators is considered missing out on life for a cat. We prefer for our kittens to also be kept indoors. In addition to your Maine Coon not being exposed to hazards outside, it is said that cats that are kept indoors exclusively have a stronger bond with their owners.

Our mission is to only produce healthy, well-tempered and breed standard Maine Coons that excel both in the show rings and as beloved companions. Lucki Maine Coons is one of the few Maine Coon catteries in Missouri that actively shows both Maine Coon & Maine Coon Poly cats & kittens. We are registered with TICA – The International Cat Association & CFA – Cat Fanciers Association. We enjoy showing our cats frequently and shows are the perfect place for you to meet us & our cats in person.

Our cats are seen by a licensed veterinarian regularly. All of our Maine Coon kittens are pet only and are spayed/neutered prior to going home. We do allow for kittens to go to show homes to be shown in Premiership or Alter. We try our best to be the best and only breed quality and loving Maine Coons, ensure that our babies get the amazing home they deserve, as well as keeping connected to our kittens. Our cats are truly a large part of our family and we hope to bring this same experience to our kitten families as well. You can find pictures of our prior litters on the “Kitten Gallery” page.
