TICA Cat Show in Missouri, August 2024

In August of 2024 we were able to attend another TICA cat show. The show was hosted by the PracTICAl Cats Club in Gray Summit, MO. This was our seventh show to attend with the PracTICAl Cats Club.

We attended this show with Dynamite, Missy, and Biggie. This was Biggie & Missy’s first TICA show in the kitten class and Dynamite’s second TICA show in the kitten class. We attended both days of the show which was 16 rings in total. For rings you can think of those as different shows, each ring has a different judge so it is interesting to see the results change from ring to ring. All three of them did great especially considering this is still so new to them!

(You may notice that only 15 rings are listed for color and division. This is because Biggie was judged as a Red Classic Tabby & White in one of the rings. Since he’s genetically solid red but, appears with tabby markings he can be shown as solid or tabby. Biggie will be shown as Solid Red & White from now on, he does not have the traditional tabby markings of white “eyeliner”, white around the ears, or a white muzzle. He also does not have true tabby markings. I wanted to add this note to reduce confusion.)

We are very happy with their results! Dynamite received his first finals! Best all-breed kitten in show out of fifty-seven kittens. He also received 7th best all-breed kitten out of fifty-nine. Each of them placed in breed at least once with twelve other Maine Coon kittens in total. We received great feedback on each of them and are very excited to see how they progress in the show halls as they get older!
